Pizza Party Nails

These nails were inspired by the pizza nails done by Polish You Pretty. I chose to do pizzas only as accent nails and did bar glitter on the rest of my nails to represent the "party". Hope you all like them.

V-Moon Mani with Glitter Accent

Again another old mani I did some time ago. I really like the way the colors compliment each other and the glitter accent nail adds a nice pop. Hope you all like it!

Glitter Safari

Finally getting around to posting! This is a mani I did some time ago with Man Hunt which I absolutely love its like the perfect blue. I started off sponging on Blasted Turquoise Glitter on the tips and then after a day or two I added a coat of Mermaid Tail because you never have enough glitter!

Gold & Red Leopard Nails

Today I have for you all a mani I did on my bff Nora. I really love doing these half leopard mani's they are just so pretty and fairly easy to do! I was also happy because I got to use a polish from one of my new Color Club sets I got at Ross. I was always super jealous of hearing how other bloggers where always finding Color Club set at Ross because every time I went to the 2 Ross stores in my area I never found any of them. Then like two weekends ago I go in and I found two sets!!!! The Back to Boho set and Glitter Vixen set, I was especially excited about the glitters (even though im pretty sure they aren't the actual glitter polishes from that collection and just glitter polishes)! These are also my first Color Club polishes and so far I like them, I've used one of the other glitters on my toes and I just painted my nails with a Back to Boho color. Anyway now onto the pics of my friends nails!

Neon streak

I did this mani awhile back I just never got around to posting it....Anyway I got the inspiration for this mani because I saw a photo of a mani that used a hot pink with a pale nude pink and loved the way the two colors looked together. For my mani I freehanded the neon streaks and then used tape for the glitter streak, I was going to do them all pink but then decided it needed something a bit more flashy so I added the glitter streak on one nail.

Chunky Holo Black

I know there are several swatches of this beautiful polish out there but it never hurts to have more! I've actually had this polish since like August and hadn't gotten around to wearing until last week which is a same since its so stunning.

Mk's Glittery Leopard Mani

Hello everyone! Yesterday my friend Mk came over to get her nails did. We settled on this design which is a super glittery and sparkly leopard print mani.

Yodel with Gold Glitter

Building on yesterdays post and how I mentioned Yodel would look good with gold I decided to add my favorite gold glitter top coat. I hadn't used this top coat in a while but I'm already down to half a bottle and need to get another one soon which is kind of a bummer seeing how Sephora went up on the price of their polish to $9.50. Anyway I also did a matte version that I think I like more.

Domestic Goddess & Zoya

This was a mani I had on some time last week with glitter! So sparkly, I loved this one! I did glitter on the entire nail of my middle finger and thumb and just the tips on the other three fingers.

Gold Digger

Loved the way this mani turned out! I want to do a silver disco ball version of this mani next! The gold holographic glitter on the tips really made this mani! You might have to click on the pics to enlarge them and get a better look at the glitter tips to really see that its holographic.

I love using glitter on my nails! It's so sparkly, girly, and fun plus its super easy to use.

- 1 coat of Avon Nailwear Pro polish in Classic Fit (dark ink blue)

- Poly-Flake glitter in Turquoise (sprinkle on nail polish while it's still wet)

- 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat

DIY Glitter Artwork

Wooo I got another one of my projects done!

I was inspired to do this by some artwork I saw at Magnolia Cafe in ATX. If you've ever been to this delicious place to eat you know that they feature local artist work and one time they had some artist's work of famous peoples faces all done it glitter which looked really great and my friend Airica and I thought it would be really cool to so something like that. Well this summer I decided to give it a go the first one I did was the lips and I just finished the skulls.


Supplies you need for this project:
-Foam board with adhesive
-Glitter in your desired colors (this is standard glitter)
-Poly-Flake polyester glitter (this is really fine glitter)
-Elmers glue
-Razor blade/Exacto knife
-#0 Paint Brush
-#8 Bristly Paint Brush
-Foam Paint Brush
-Ruler
-Pen/Pencil
-Also you might wanna get some newspaper and some large pieces of paper to shake of the excess glitter

Ok so now on to the directions!

For the Lips Glitter Artwork

Step 1-I cut the foam board in half because I wanted this piece to be pretty big. I used my pencil and ruler to draw a line straight across to make sure it was a straight line all the way across then I used my razor blade to cut it.

Step 2-For this one I drew the image directly on to the adhesive liner. I used a picture of my lips for reference.

Step 3-Once I was done drawing my image I got my razor blade and cut/trace over the image.

Step 4-Lay out your newspaper also get your glue, foam paint brush, and glitter ready. For this one I used red, gold, silver and black.

Step 5- Start with the inner most piece and pull off the adhesive liner.  Then pour glue on the area and use the foam brush to evenly spread the glue over the area then pour the glitter all over the area.

Step 6- Let the glitter dry for a bit and then shake of the excess glitter off and repeat the process until all the areas are covered in glitter.

Step 7-Lastly let it dry overnight and then you can hang it up!

For the Skull Glitter Artwork

Step 1-Printed out this skull image that I found you can get it here. I used the bottom left image and just enlarged it to fit on a piece of paper.

Step 2-Next I cut the foam board to the size of the paper using the ruler and razor blade.

Step 3-Remove the adhesive liner and stick on the piece of paper with image on it.

Step 4-Using the small Paint brush go over the lines of the image with glue and then cover it with black standard glitter.  Start from the top working your way down to the bottom.

Step 5-Once your done covering the skull image with glitter let it dry over night or for a few hours. Once its dry get the other paint brush and brush off all the excess glitter.

Step 6-Once again get your paint brush, glue and this time the poly-flake glitter (fine glitter) and start covering the background with it working in small patches from the inside out. I used the foam paint brush for the area around the skull.

Step 7-Lastly let it dry overnight and then you can hang it up!
