Purple Gradient

So as usual I'm behind on posting... I wasn't sure if I was going to post todays photos cuz they are kinda crappy since I only got to get photos with my iphone and shitty lighting but then I was like what the hell might as well post them.

Avocado Nails

Today's nail art was inspired by the name of a new nail polish I had picked up a few months back. The base color of my nails is Avocado and it's by this cheap nail polish brand I had never heard of before but I liked the color so I picked it up along with a few other colors. Anyways a few days after buying it I decided to use it and decided to do an avocado/guacamole inspired mani, hope you all like it!

Glitter Safari

Finally getting around to posting! This is a mani I did some time ago with Man Hunt which I absolutely love its like the perfect blue. I started off sponging on Blasted Turquoise Glitter on the tips and then after a day or two I added a coat of Mermaid Tail because you never have enough glitter!

V-Gap Gradient

Finally getting around to posting manicures from like the past month and half. These are pretty old my nails have already grown and are back to a talon shape. This was the first time doing a v-gap mani and I decided to add a little twist to it and do a gradient with in the gap. Also sorry the pics aren't that great.

Mummy May I Gradient Tips

So after sponging on Lubu heels on my tips in my Vampire Mani I got the idea to do the same thing with Mummy May I. I love the way this looks and it doesn't necessarily have to be a Halloween mani but works well for it to in a more subtle way. For a swatch of Mummy May I click here.

Vampire Nails

Hello Everyone! Todays post is another Halloween Mani. I wanted to do Vampire nails so this what I came up with. I did lips with fangs as my accent nails and on the rest I sponged on Lubu Heels onto black for a vampy look. Its too bad my nails are so short right now because I think this look would have been even better on long nails. Oh also before I forget to mention it I added a new label "Holiday" so that you can easily find any Holiday themed mani.

Snake Skin Print with Tulle Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome to my new followers! A reader Montyono4 left a comment on a previous Snake Skin Mani Post asking if I could give some step by step instructions. So here it is, I hope I do a good job of explaining and that the pics help. If you dont have the stamping plates (like me) this is a good alternative to get a snake skin print on your nails.

This is what the finished nail looks like.

Joslyn's Rainbow Nails

Hello everyone and good afternoon. Today I have for you all my friend Joslyn's nails. She came over this weekend to get her nails done and really wanted me to do the rainbow sponging from my Christopher Kane nails. For the other nails she chose Ivanka since she only wears green nail polish. I love the way they came out, also I love her nails they are so wide and flat unlike my nails that are pretty narrow and have a very pronounced curve to them.

Fashion Inspired Nails: Christopher Kane

Hello Everyone! Today I have for you guys another fashion inspired mani. My inspiration for this mani came from one of the looks from the Christopher Kane Resort 2012 Collection. As before first the nails then the fashion.

Galaxy Nails

This weeks monday nail art challenge on Polish-aholics Anonymous was Galaxy themed. I was excited to try this out cuz I've seen some pics of other peoples nails and they look so pretty. So I googled some tutorials and then some images of galaxies and gave it shot. I'm not a 100% satisfied with it, mainly because I think my "stars" are to big and that there are to many (I did less dots on my left had).

Moms Birthday Mani!

So as the title suggest it's my moms birthday today so yesterday I did her nails so she could have a new mani for her bday! My mom is such a good sport she always just lets me do whatever I want with her nails. I told her she was so hip for letting me do her nails with such bold colors! LOL

What I used:
-Tulle
-Make-up Sponge
-OPI Bling Dynasty
-OPI Glitzerland
-OPI Here Today...Argon Tomorrow
-Sephora by OPI Never Enough Shoes
-Sephora by OPI Leaf Him at the Alter
-Seche Vite

And lastly here is a pic of my halloween costume with two of my besties! My mom helped me sew the dress because it was a huge ill fitting tank dress. For my crown I bought toy snakes and painted them green and hot-glued them to a toy crown and lastly I glued and wrapped two lager snakes to small barrettes to help hold up my crown.

Snake skin print: first attempt

My mom was my guinea pig for this manicure. It was my first attempt and I did two different types of the manicure one with small netting tulle and one with larger netting tulle. My mom had her nails done with Bling Dynasty which actually came out really good through the other color but I still put a coat of Glitzerland over it. I'm going to do this manicure to go along with my Medusa costume for Halloween. I'm still not sure which design I'm going to do but I'm leaning towards the large netting tulle.
