Glitter Safari

Finally getting around to posting! This is a mani I did some time ago with Man Hunt which I absolutely love its like the perfect blue. I started off sponging on Blasted Turquoise Glitter on the tips and then after a day or two I added a coat of Mermaid Tail because you never have enough glitter!

Cracked Eggs

Hello! I hope you all are having a Happy Easter! I was planning on doing some actual nail are for Easter but then I got lazy and decided to just use some crackle polish to mimic cracked eggs. I also couldn't decide which color to use so I ended up using both pink and purple alternating on each finger and then to top it off I added Fairy Dust to give it a little more shimmer.

Pink Dots & Flowers

Todays nail art was inspired by a blouse I have that is covered in pink flowers. I really liked the print but didnt want to do all my nails with flowers so I just did one accent nail and did the rest of the nails with dots in the different shades of pink and white. Hope you like it!

Red & White Polk-a-Dots

Hello, today I have another V-day themed mani for you. I like this because it's not overtly valentine-y with hearts and stuff but still gets the point across.

Russian to a Party with Rose Accent

Hello everyone, hope you all are having a good weekend so far! Today I have for you guys some nail art on an accent nail. I first started off with Russian to a Party which is a beautiful burgundy red with gold shimmer in it. To pick up on the gold in it I decided to use Bling Dynasty as an accent and then added some roses to the tips. I really love the way this turned out, I should do more rose manis.

Nora's Peacock Nails

First of all I just want to say sorry that these pics are a bit blurry. I wasn't sure if I wanted to post them but they did come out really cute and you can still make out the design. So once again sorry for the not so focused photos.

So Nora had been wanting peacock nails for sometime and then when she came over the last time we finally did them and this is what I came up with.

My 1st Drip Mani!

So as the title implies this was my very first time trying to do a drip mani. I think it came out ok but it could definitely be a bit neater and I could also try to get a better shape next time.

Plaid Nails

Hello, Hello Everyone! First off I wanna say how sorry I am for not posting at all last week I was busy/lazy and never got around to posting or preparing post. Secondly this is the current state of my nails  about two weeks ago two of my nails broke and I had to file them down to nubs which is also why I didnt want to post any pics of my nails. They are a bit longer now so they don't bother me as much, even though I'm still not used to having short nails.

Ok now onto my current mani.....Saturday night I painted my nails with Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow (which is and extremely dark green) and also wanted to use Rock His World but could decided to think of how to use them together so I just left them also. Then Sunday night I remembered about PAA monday nail art challenge and knew that would help me decided how to used the colors and it did! This weeks challenge was Plaid which works perfectly with these two colors. I got the inspiration for the design form a random nail art wheel I found along time ago on the web, hope you like it!

Halloween Stripes

Todays Halloween Mani is just some simple stripes in traditional Halloween colors orange, purple and black. Only my left thumb says Trick or Treat because I knew there was no way I was going to be able to write it on my right thumb but I still liked the way it looked with only that thumb as the accent.

Midnight Pumpkin Patch

Hello everyone! Just a quick reminder that today is the last day to sign up for my giveaway so if you haven't you need to get on that! Today on PaA the theme was Blue or Blue on Blue. I didn't just want to do a blue mani and really wanted to start doing some halloween themed manis so I used the blues as the base for my mani.

Joslyn's Nails: You can stand under my umbrella

Hello everyone! My friend Joslyn came over again to get her nails done. One thing to note about her is that she really only wears green nail polish. For this mani she wanted to do an umbrella and then a glitter top coat to look like raindrops falling down and below is what we came up with. The base green is a polish I got for her and the umbrella is actually Neon Pink but my camera was capturing it as this weird orangey pink color.

Galaxy Nails

This weeks monday nail art challenge on Polish-aholics Anonymous was Galaxy themed. I was excited to try this out cuz I've seen some pics of other peoples nails and they look so pretty. So I googled some tutorials and then some images of galaxies and gave it shot. I'm not a 100% satisfied with it, mainly because I think my "stars" are to big and that there are to many (I did less dots on my left had).

Yodel with Gold Glitter

Building on yesterdays post and how I mentioned Yodel would look good with gold I decided to add my favorite gold glitter top coat. I hadn't used this top coat in a while but I'm already down to half a bottle and need to get another one soon which is kind of a bummer seeing how Sephora went up on the price of their polish to $9.50. Anyway I also did a matte version that I think I like more.

Rosy's Flower Mani

Hey everybody todays post features a mani I did on my sister-in-law a few days ago. She really liked these two colors so we decided to use one as an accent color and then add some flowers.

On a side note im also excited because I decided to submit an entry for a nail art contest being held by another nail blog Nail Polish Art Addiction, her nail art is crazy good, but anyway I hope I get lucky and win!

Mix-N-Match: Guy Meets Havana Dreams

I decided to do a mix-n-match or skittles type mani where each nail is different but tied together by a certain color palette or theme although I have seen some skittle nails where that is not the case or where just each nail is a different color like actual skittles. Anyway I think these two colors work great together and I really love the way this mani turned out. I'm definitely going to do a few more of these mix-n-match manis with different contrasting colors.

Strawberry Patch

I did my cousin Janie's nails again! I think we are starting to make this a weekly tradition where we get together and I do her nails while we chat up and gossip. This time around we settled on a strawberry mani, I had seen on some random nail blog where someone had done small little strawberries instead of the whole nail being a strawberry, so that's where I got the inspiration to do this mani. The stems however are black not green because I went over to her house and only had a few of my polishes on me but I don't think it's that big of a difference.

Bluebell & Walter Mani

It's no surprise that I love my cats Bluebell and Walter, they are just so precious to me. So I decided to do a cat mani after them, Bluebell's really more brown in the face than cream but I don't own a brown polish so I just went with that.

Don't Eat the Daisies

I know these flowers aren't technically the shape of actual daisies but it's close enough, I mean they are white and yellow! Anyway this is also the first time I used Fiercely Fabulous (base color) and I kind of wish I had it in a full size bottle instead of just the mini because it's a really pretty reddish orange.

Water Marble: 2nd Attempt

Todays post features my second attempt at water marbling my nails. I'm not sure I did that much better than my first attempt but as they say practice makes perfect. It was also really cute because my guy friends all noticed my nails and complimented me on them and asked me how I did it.

Note to Self

Todays post is on Note to Self from Sephora by OPI. I love this color it's great for spring and summer. I had originally bought this polish for my mom sometime last year but I really ended up liking it as well. It's a cantaloupe orange with golden and amber shimmer in it. My dad was even a fan of this color as it was the first polish that I've worn and gotten a compliment from him!
