Matte Nail Polish

I decided to try out matte nail polish so a couple of weeks back I ordered Avon's matte nail polish in Gray Cement. I had read in other blogs that matte nail polish doesn't last long and even the review on Avon's site mentioned it but still I wanted to try it out. It came in last week and people did not lie it really doesn't last long at all I'd say 2 days tops and that's with touch ups.

I did 2 coats but you could get away with just one coat if you apply it thick enough.

I wonder if a higher quality matte nail polish would last longer or if a matte top coat would help. I went to Ulta this past weekend with my mom and saw the Essie matte top coat but didn't end up getting I think I'll have to go back for it. I did however get a Suede OPI polish (which is like matte but not as flat) and that didn't really last that long either so idk if their matte polish would be any better than Avon's. Anyways I'll post pics of that polish later this week!
